It’s called a Convoy

More stuff from the internets about failed security companies and pirate hijackings in the Gulf of Aden. Apparently some mercs used a “sonic weapon” that projected sounds at 150 decibels at the pirates in hopes of scaring them off.  Unsurprisingly, the pirates were not dismayed by loud music and simply shot up the speakers before boarding and hijacking the ship.

How to stop the pirates and save Somalia

The Somali pirates continue to make all sorts of news.  The latest being that the ” pirate mothership” sunk by the Indian Navy a few days ago may actually have been a transport ship that was in the process of being hijacked by pirates.  The inability of NATO and the local navies to put a stop to pirate attacks in a quick and immediate manner has led to all sorts of nonsense being speculated and bandied about on the news.  Some highlights, and an actual solution.
