Sean graduated with a degree in Justice Systems before studying business in the at the University of Kansas and now lives in Kansas City, where he runs a small defense startup and this blog.

The title comes from the 124th Infantry and the college nickname of Ryan “Monkey” Campbell who was killed south of Baghdad near Karbala on August 29th, 2004.  The “typing on typewriters” thing is because the title 124Monkeys is reminiscent of the infinite monkey theorem (first posited in 1913 by Emile Borel) which basically states: “If an infinite number of monkeys typed on an infinite number of typewriters for an infinite amount of time, one of them would eventually compose the complete works of William Shakespeare.”  This blog doesn’t need infinite monkeys, 124 or so would probably do it.

Hence it all ties together.  And now you know.  Which is half the battle.
