During the election last night I started thinking of the movies “American Gangster” and “The Departed”. I thought of “The Departed” because of the Jack Nicholson quote about blacks, irish catholics, and the presidency. Then I started thinking about “American Gangster” because for some reason I always get those two movies mixed up. Anyway, Frank Lucas’ obvservations about cutting out the middlemen and buying directly from the supplier were on my mind during Obama’s acceptance speech.
